Kinside is a web-app platform that parents can receive as a workplace benefit. It serves as a matchmaker for childcare and a way to process childcare payments while automatically filing paperwork for tax deductions. Since the needs and preferences of each parent and each child are so different combined with the added complexity of finding a childcare provider that meets your desired budget and location criteria, the onboarding/sign-up process of Kinside is crucial to the success of the platform and in ensuring a positive user experience.

I started by creating a deep understanding of the current v.1.0 onboarding process, a manually populated Typeform form. To start establishing the onboarding steps questions, we established what information would allow for an effective matchmaking process while being easy for parents to complete and without ever leaving them with a question they couldn’t answer.
