KIT 2.0
KIT is a product that underwent a significant visual overhaul in its 2.0 version. The purpose was to give it a new focus and personality while improving its UX and data visualization capabilities.
To achieve this goal, the team and I conducted internal and external interviews and brainstorming sessions to generate ideas and form a consensus. The result is a great example of being more than the sum of its parts, combining a more focused user experience for the target user with a fresh and modern UI that lives up to the quality of data and insights that KIT provides.
Taking all of our feedback and priorities, I worked to establish the hierarchy, layout, and visuals of each page while applying design best practices. Introducing a new 8-col grid allowed us to produce 5 more widget sizes than before taking the best advantage of the types of data being displayed and the available screen real estate.
Outcome
The result is a simple, clear, and easy-to-digest product that gives the stuff that matters the attention it deserves. KIT 2.0 is a great example of how a visual overhaul and a refocused UX can really give a product new life and drastically change the potential customers’ impression.
